The Venture For ClimateTech Innovation Showcase took place on September 20, 2023, as part of New York City Climate Week, and it was graciously hosted by IndieBio. Cohort 3 of Venture For ClimateTech traveled from various corners of the globe amidst a bustling backdrop of numerous climate-related events, networking meetups, protests, and insightful talks. Their mission? To pitch their groundbreaking companies.

At this remarkable Showcase, a total of 17 teams had the opportunity to present their ideas to an audience of over 100 venture capitalists and investors.

This event marked the culmination of an intense four-month program, which had prepared these entrepreneurs to deliver a concise, compelling 90-second pitchall without the aid of slides. What made this occasion even more special was that Venture For ClimateTech, typically a virtual accelerator, brought these teams together for their first in-person pitching experience within the program.

Assembly Member Emily Gallagher of New York’s 50th district joined the event and warmly welcomed the audience to the Innovation Showcase. Once the presentations began, the teams flawlessly showcased their innovative ideas to a captivated room filled with investors, climate leaders, and fellow peers. The venue was packed to capacity, making it a pivotal gathering spot for investors during Climate Week in NYC.

Venture For ClimateTech’s Managing Director, Jack Baron, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Our startups truly brought their A-game to the showcase today. The growth and maturity displayed by these teams in such a short span of time is a testament to the dedication they’ve poured into refining their narrative and value proposition. They’ve come a long way since the inception of the program.”
