Applications to Enroll in Scale For ClimateTech’s Manufacturing Bootcamp Closes October 21!

From November 7 to 10, Scale For ClimateTech is hosting a free four-day virtual bootcamp for companies to engage with vetted manufacturers, supply chain experts, and technical advisors to build a more resilient and robust production process.

Find Funding

Scale For ClimateTech’s Manufacturing & Expertise-in-Residence (MEIR) program is offering up to $75K in project-matched funding for the manufacturing of solutions that address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. See if you qualify for funding and start your application here.



Win up to $25K through the FORGE Product Development Grant (FPDG) for historically marginalized leaders in cleantech. The goal of the grant is to remove barriers to scaling and manufacturing, providing the necessary funds for a specific product development challenge critical to the company’s ability to scale and/or reach the marketplace. The successful grant application will pinpoint that challenge and articulate how the grant funds will be used to overcome the roadblock.

Voltpost Debuts Transformative Lamppost Electric Vehicle Charger at Climate Week NYC 2022

During this year’s Climate Week in New York City, Voltpost debuted its lamppost retrofit electric vehicle charging system at the Hardware Meetup: Climate Edition event on Sept. 22. The event was hosted by Newlab, Scale for Climate Tech, and Women Who Hardware. Voltpost is participating in the DOT Studio, a partnership between the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT) and Newlab, where it will pilot its lamppost charging in NYC. In addition to this pilot, Voltpost confirmed a demonstration project at the Detroit Smart Parking Lab (“DSPL”) in Detroit, Michigan.

Zinc8 Energy Solutions Makes News for Making Moves to Hudson Valley Citing IRA Tax Credit

Zinc8 Energy Solutions, developer of zinc air battery technology, has announced plans to start manufacturing in Ulster County’s iPark87 in New York. With encouragement from Senate Majority Leader Schumer and tax credits from the recently signed Inflation Reduction Act by President Biden, Zinc8’s new production facility captured coverage from Reuters and PV Magazine. KIGT Receives $25K from Student-Led NYU Impact Investment Fund (NIIF) and Forbes Coverage for Intentional Business Models

KIGT, Ontario, CA based developer of smart charging stations, built its company on the mission of making charging equally accessible and to include traditionally marginalized communities in the rapidly growing green economy. This mission centric business model has caught the intention of many, most recently a $25K investment from the student-led NYU Impact Investment Fund and Forbes latest article, Black Founders Of EV-Charging Startups Have More Than Profits On Their Minds

Power to Hydrogen Awarded $100K from Governor Hochul’s Renewable Optimization and Energy Storage Innovation Program

At this year’s Advanced Energy Conference in New York City, Governor Hochul announced $16.6 million in awards for five long duration energy storage projects that will help harness renewable energy and provide stored energy to New York’s electric grid. Power to Hydrogen was identified as one of the five awardees to develop a reversible fuel cell system for hydrogen production and energy storage called the Clean Energy Bridge. The $100K will help facilitate the system’s readiness for demonstration and commercial adoption.

Dynamic Air Cooling Announced as Grow-NY Finalist

Grow-NY, the annual New York State food and agriculture innovation competition, announced 20 finalists for its $3M in prize money. Dynamic Air Cooling (DAC) was named as one of the finalists and will be competing to be one of the top seven announced. The finalists will be judged on their team’s cohesion, the viability of commercialization, customer value, agriculture and food innovation, and regional job creation.

The Climate Tech Innovation Showcase

Scale for ClimateTech and the Consulate General of Canada in New York is pleased to bring to you a Climate Tech Innovation Showcase. The event is a full day, in-person session dedicated to celebrating climate tech innovators. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear pitches and presentations, see products and solutions on display, network, and engage with ecosystem players in New York State. This event will also feature a Manufacturing Roadmap Pitch Competition where the winner will receive a cash prize of $20K for project support, along within-kind support from Scale For ClimateTech and NY State manufacturers.

Our flagship event of the year did not disappoint! With over 450 attendees from 38 different countries, the For ClimateTech community was on full display. The team is working to get the session recordings up and available for those who were unable to attend.
