FCT Teams in Full Force at Climate Week NYC

V4C Team
S4C Team

Our For ClimateTech community kicked off Climate Week NYC at NewLab with our For ClimateTech Innovation Showcase, featuring teams from Venture For ClimateTech (V4C) and Scale For ClimateTech (S4C) . A whopping 36 teams presented to more than400 climate-minded investors, leaders, and peers. A heartfelt thank you to Brandon Owens, Vice President of Innovation at NYSERDA, Todd Khozein, Co-Founder & CEO of SecondMuse, and James Senall, President of NextCorps for their leadership and making the event possible. A special shoutout to our friends at NewLab, as well, for hosting the event.

The Climate Collaboration Continues With Google Cloud

Our teams continued the conversation in Time Square with a networking event sponsored by Google Cloud. The rooftop had a dizzying view of the city and offered another opportunity for our cohort companies to meet with investors directly and our other For ClimateTech partners.

Google Signs $10M Contract With Holocene for Record-Setting Direct Air Capture Purchase Agreement ($100 per tonne)

Holocene, a direct air capture provider from cohort 2 of V4C, entered into an $10 million agreement with Google to deliver 100,000 carbon removal credits by the early 2030s priced at $100 per tonne. Holocene was of interest to Google for its ability to combine elements of both liquid and solid-based systems, which has a high potential to reduce costs for this difficult physical challenge over the long term.
