SunThru is a deep-tech materials startup commercializing transparent silica aerogel insulation for next-generation energy-efficient windows. Using a novel rapid manufacturing process developed at Union College, SunThru produces highly transparent aerogel inserts that deliver triple-pane thermal performance within the existing double-pane window infrastructure. The company’s mission is to accelerate building decarbonization by making ultra-high-performance insulation scalable, affordable, and easy to deploy.
