Seeds is the investment platform built by the climate movement, for the climate movement. Seeds’ mission is to create an inclusive sustainable marketplace to harnesses the collective financial power of the environmental movement by lowering the minimum investment in renewable energy projects to just spare change, by giving investors full control of which projects their investments build and by providing a competitive return on investment.
Polaris Renewables is developing proprietary technology for the production of fully renewable non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPUs) for use in foams, coatings, and adhesives with the fashion industry chosen as the initial target market. This technology eliminates the use of toxic petrochemical isocyanates which provides significant sustainability advantages. The cost of production is comparable to commercial polyurethanes and manufacturing should require little or no changes to existing facilities .
Olokun Minerals provides mineral based products for public infrastructure maintenance and renewable energy generation and storage through captured brine waste from desalination plants. Its solution diverts harmful saline drainage water away from the ocean life and marine ecosystems and provide sustainably-sourced minerals for solar energy storage, applied road surface treatments, and a reliable source of power.
New Frontier Aerospace designs and builds a unique, liquid natural gas (LNG) fueled hypersonic aircraft with the landing precision of a helicopter. LNG puts 25% less Carbon into the atmosphere than jet fuel. When kerosene burning jet airliners are replaced with our natural gas burning hypersonic aircraft, over 250 million fewer tonnes of Carbon will enter the atmosphere every year (Danville, CA).
Dynamic Air Cooling (DAC) technology is a new ecological way to generate cold for industrial or residential air cooling and refrigeration. Our technology allows to decrease temperature by -60°C and has no impact on environment: it uses no synthetic coolants and has neither thermal nor CO2 emissions. DAC is effective and economical solution – it is up to 50% cheaper comparing to traditional a/c or refrigeration technology (Elblag, Poland).
Atrevida Science is developing an Active Morphing Blade™ (AMB™) to improve efficiency and overall system performance. AMB™ technology is being developed through a collaboration between Atrevida Science and the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo (UB) Energy Systems Design Research Group. Atrevida Science has an exclusive licensing agreement with the SUNY Research Foundation.
Mars Materials – Mars Materials (“Mars”) is commercializing technology that converts CO2 and biomass into low-cost and low-carbon feedstock used for thermoplastics and synthetic fibers such as 3D printing filament and carbon fibers, respectively. Mars estimates its technology can reduce carbon fiber production costs by 50%. Mars’ mission is to store a gigaton of CO2 into these and other everyday products (Oakland, CA).
Alchemr offers validated, stable and scalable water electrolyzers that generate hydrogen at cost parity with fossil fuel-derived hydrogen. The promise of a hydrogen economy is once again back in sight due to the falling prices of renewable power, the ability of green hydrogen to reduce more than 30% of global GHG, and market size of $200 billion by 2023. Alchemr is making green hydrogen a reality by developing water electrolyzers that cost one-third of today’s solutions. With our next generation of low-cost, stable, and scalable water electrolyzers based on anion exchange membrane technology, we are driving the world towards a day in which green hydrogen is as ubiquitous as natural gas and diesel fuel (Boca Raton, FL).
