Application Now Open to Enroll in Scale For ClimateTech’s Manufacturing Bootcamp

From November 7 to 10, Scale For ClimateTech is hosting a free four-day virtual bootcamp for companies to engage with vetted manufacturers, supply chain experts, and technical advisors to build a more resilient and robust production process. The sessions are catered to companies with a works-like or looks-like hardware prototype addressing the climate crisis and are encouraged to apply here by October 21, 2022.

Find Funding

Scale For ClimateTech’s Manufacturing & Expertise-in-Residence (MEIR) program is offering up to $75K in project-matched funding for the manufacturing of solutions that address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. See if you qualify for funding and start your application here.



Three awards of $50K are available through FuzeHub’s Innovation Challenge: Advanced Materials.
 

Non-profit organizations in New York State that use advanced materials to increase environmental sustainability in manufacturing — including non-profit higher education institutions — can apply starting September 1. Applicants must partner with a small to medium-sized manufacturer to be eligible.

The Google.org Impact Challenge on Climate Innovation is commiting $30M to fund big bet projects that accelerate technological advances in climate information and action. Selected organizations may receive up to $5M in funding, along with access to Google’s technical expertise and products, to accelerate progress toward a more sustainable and resilient future.

Cohort News

Pvilion Canopies has been selected to shade golfers at the Mosholu Golf Course. The course is located in Van Cortlandt Park’s driving range above the Croton Water Filtration Plant, the largest underground water filtration plant in the U.S., stretching 12 acres underground. To further compliment the natural water elements of the course, 31 Solar Canopies will be installed at the driving range.

Voltpost was awarded $65K from the state of Michigan.
The funding will be used to deploy lamppost charging at the Detroit Smart Parking Lab to simulate its curbside charging environment. “The Voltpost team is thrilled to deploy lamppost charging in the Detroit Smart Parking Lab to accelerate access to clean mobility in Michigan,” said Jeff Prosserman, founder and CEO of Voltpost.

Join NYSTAR, NYSERDA, and Upstate Capital for Invest NY: Climate Tech on October 19 at the University of Albany’s ETEC Center. The event features a Startup Showcase with up to 20 companies, who each will give a 2-3 minute introduction. Pitch to investors from around the country and the New York State network.

Meet Scale For ClimateTech’s Newest Team Members, Shai & Javin

ShaiShai Fogelson is a Senior Business Development Manager at SecondMuse and Scale For ClimateTech focused specifically on the growth of the climate portfolio. Shai helps manage the implementation of program growth strategies, including proactively identifying and building relationships with existing and prospective private, nonprofit, and public sector funders. He also supports the company’s global work to build partnerships with climate/cleantech/energy, workforce, entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development funders.

Javin Chan

Javin Chan is joining us as a Climate Associate on For ClimateTech’s Manufacturing & Expertise-in-Residence (MEIR) program. Before coming to SecondMuse and the S4C team, Javin was a Venture Associate for C3 (Climate Capital Collective) and a Portfolio Innovation Analyst at Elemental Excelerator.
