Venture For ClimateTech Closes Cohort 4 Applications with 326 Applications

Venture For ClimateTech wrapped up its recruitment period with a total of 326 applications from 43 different countries. The applicant pool provided solutions to solve pressing problems in every sector in cleantech! The number of applications increased from last year which shows there is a growing base of early stage climate climate companies.

Which is great news considering investment potential in cleantech is trending up. According to the US Clean Investment Monitor annual report for 2023, cleantech investment totaled $239 billion, up 38% from 2022. The fastest investment growth last year occurred in the deployment of emerging climate technologies—up ten-fold from $0.9 billion in 2022 to $9.1 billion in 2023. The influx of investments and increase of applicants from last year leads the team to believe there is a consistent demand for early stage support to get these innovations to commercialization.

The V4C team is now hard at work on application reviews to identify the top 20 teams that will make up Cohort 4. Stay tuned for the cohort announcement in May!
